One more suggestion on becoming an intentional spouse is setting some weekly goals. Here you would have to draw upon what has worked in the past with your spouse and maybe come up with some new ideas to do the work.
Weekly suggestions might be:
- A date
- A long walk
- Tea on the back porch
- A love note
- A favorite dessert together
- A back, foot or neck rub
- Watching their favorite show
- Playing their favorite board game
- A sticky note saying “I love you”
- A lover text
Take time to write the weekly goals in your calendar. You might have so many ideas you could spread these over a month or several months. You might only do one or two of these over a week. Now go to the next week and sprinkle a couple of these in this week. Then go to week three and four and do the same. Once complete, you’ve done it—you’ve made your first intentional lover calendar.
