Have you ever felt trapped in a cycle of behaviors that you know aren’t good for you? Many of my clients have struggled with pornography compulsion. It's a difficult habit/addiction to break, and it often feels like you're fighting a losing battle. But there’s hope in Romans 12:2, which talks about being transformed by the renewing of your mind.
As a psychologist, I’ve seen how the mind can be influenced by both negative and positive patterns. When you're caught in a loop of destructive behavior, it can feel like there's no way out. But the process of renewing your mind is about more than just stopping the behavior. It's about transforming how you think and see yourself and others. This transformation can only start by recognizing that change is possible and making the steps necessary to renew your mind from destructive thoughts.
Regardless of your struggle, engaging in activities that uplift, distract, and speak truth is one part of this renewal. There are so many different ways to do this! What are some ways that you have focused on renewing your mind?
