I love living in a free society. Democracy is where people’s ideas can be expressed and voted into law. Lust will capitalize on this belief by convincing you that your sexuality is a democracy. Lust will tell you that you get to vote or decide if you want to lust by whispering, “After all, you are the boss and you can do what you want.”

Jesus came to deliver us from what we want. He established a kingdom in which He is King and you and I are merely subjects—servants He desires to call “friend.”

Lust is prohibited to us. Simply put, by decree of the King, you and I are not allowed to lust. Both the law and the Spirit of the law tell us we are prohibited from lust. You don’t get to vote on this option. You relinquished your voting rights when you accepted Christ as your Lord.

Tell lust it will have to talk to Jesus in order for you to have permission to spend time with it. Lust already knows Jesus will say no, so follow His example as a subject in the kingdom.
