Attitude Check Series #6 - Christlike

We must not hesitate, procrastinate, or do any other “ate.” We must agree with the goal. We must be able to say to God: “I agree with your agenda to change me into Christ’s likeness on earth so that during the little amount of time I have here, people will experience you.”

You see, when we agree with the goal of Christlikeness, we are in agreement with God’s plan for our lives. Then He can use everything, but especially our marriage, to bring us to maturity as His servants—not just churchgoers—but servants who go to church. A servant is the goal of my God for me. I absolutely know this to be true, and embrace the death of me so more of Him can be seen. If you can plant these truths into your being you will forever be free from the tormenting cancer of fairness.

When we believe lies, the fruits of that lie will be in our lives. When we believe the truth this also bears fruit in our lives. If you have the cancer of fairness growing in you, this attitude can be challenging to remove. But in Christ, you can and will be free to be a servant who does not even want to keep score, with no fantasies about fairness.
