The car is a very common place where lust will try to talk to you. You may wonder why. It’s because you are often alone in it. When you are alone, it’s much easier for lust to talk to you. It’s easy for your mind to drift from subject to subject, especially in Western culture where we have so little time to just think.
Expect to be attacked in the car. Don’t pretend the car is a nice, safe place. It’s a battle zone, so you need to think strategically. Call a family member, accountability person, or business contact. Give your mind an intentional assignment. Listen to the Bible or worship music. Create this space as a time to pray. Keeping your mind active and productive in the car can help you keep lust from talking to you in that private space.
