Walking in Love

Walking in love is more than a feeling—it’s a daily choice to walk in the Spirit. When you truly love God, inviting Him into every moment, especially those moments where lust might tempt you, something powerful happens: the grip of lust weakens. Love brings light to dark places, and when God’s presence fills your heart, the shadows of temptation begin to fade.

But love doesn’t stop there. When you love your wife, your children, your parents, your pastor, and your church family, your desire to protect and honor them grows stronger—and lust loses its power. True love calls you to put the needs of others first, especially the ones God has entrusted to you. Even if you simply loved the woman you’re tempted to lust after as a real person—with her own hopes, struggles, and dignity—and chose holiness over selfish desire, your lust would naturally decrease.

Lust thrives on selfishness. It feeds on seeing others as objects rather than people. But love is the opposite. Love is selfless, sacrificial, and rooted in the Spirit. When you walk in the Spirit, you walk in love—and lust’s fuel supply runs dry. The selfish cravings that once held you captive begin to lose their grip.

This isn’t just theory; it’s spiritual reality. When you commit to walking in love every day—loving God first and then loving others genuinely—you start saying goodbye to lust. The more you choose love, the less room there is for lust to live.

So, if you want freedom, start walking in love. Walk in the Spirit. Let love be your guide and watch as lust loses its hold on your heart and mind.
